Bio:
Growing up, I had always been interested in human thought processes, emotional responses, social interactions, and behaviors. I graduated with my bachelors degree in Psychology in 2011 from Northeastern State University in Broken Arrow. As a new graduate, I decided to gain some real life experience in the mental health field. In 2013, I was afforded the opportunity to work as a psychiatric technician at Laureate Psychiatric Clinic and Hospital. During my time at the hospital, I supported a multitude of individuals who were struggling with a diverse scope of mood, personality, and thinking disorders. In 2017, I graduated from NSU a second time with my masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Before I knew it, year 2018 made its debut and I was rewarded with five years of training working in an inpatient setting. While I loved the rich experience I had received at Laureate, I decided to go a different route and try an outpatient setting. For the next three years, I worked at a counseling agency in Tulsa where I had the pleasure of working with individuals and families all with different backgrounds, ages, cultures, sexual orientations, ethnicities, and psychological and behavioral issues. Life took a new turn in 2020 when I was offered a position as a Licensed Professional Counselor at a private practice. I gratefully accepted the opportunity and here I am today. [Read More]

Bio:
I am a student of life. Each one of us is born to fulfill a cardinal purpose and it is for us to find it, or reformulate it to suit our needs, as we go along the journey of our lives. Inherent in each of us is a seed for tremendous potential which shall bloom given the right soil, water, and nutrients. However, sometimes life throws a wrench, making our circumstances difficult and confusing: it is in those times that proper guidance can put us back on the right track. I regard myself as a guide/life coach/therapist who helps individuals to find their own solutions to return to their right path. I am passionate about helping people because in the process of helping them I too grow personally. I emigrated from India to marry a loving man who is the power behind my personal and professional growth. We have been together for forty seven years. During those years, we have raised three beautiful daughters to adulthood, who now have become amazing women in their own right, with excellent careers in medicine, law, and education. They have given me four grandchildren who are the light of my eyes. I am blessed. I love cooking and gardening. There is always food on the stove and vegetables in the garden during gardening season. I am writing a book on the significance of marital vows in various religious and cultural traditions. My therapeutic approach is to treat each individual with respect and unconditional regard as I believe they are the masters of their own destiny. I simply strive to bring out their hidden strengths and thus help them become the best they can be. [Read More]

Bio:
I am a 1995 graduate of Harding University with a degree in Youth and Family Ministry. I went on from there to Abilene Christian University and received a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy in 1997. I spent the next eight years in full-time ministry in West Texas which included working with Single Adult Ministry, Divorce Recovery, Grief Recovery, Family Ministry, and Youth Ministry. During my time in ministry, I also provided individual, couple, and family therapy in a pastoral setting. While in Lubbock, I also served as an adjunct faculty member at Lubbock Christian University. After leaving Lubbock, I spent the next four years teaching some amazing high-school students at Dallas Christian School. I opened Green Counseling Services in Rockwall, Texas in 2010, and I have served families of all shapes and sizes through my private practice both in Rockwall and in Amarillo. In 2019, my family relocated to Jenks, Oklahoma and I am continuing my work through my private practice in Tulsa as well as online. As an extension of my practice, I have also been trained as a Life Coach, PREPARE/ENRICH, PREP and CPREP, as well as hundreds of hours of continuing education. I have enjoyed working with businesses, schools, non-profits, and churches while conducting team building, conflict resolution, personal coaching, and career counseling. My therapeutic experience has focused on individuals, couples, and families with a special emphasis on marriage therapy, men’s issues, sexuality, and adolescent issues. I tend to think about things differently. Because of that, it seems difficult to give an accurate description of myself in such a short format. My passion is helping people live into a deeper understanding of themselves and the world around them which can change the trajectory of their story and the stories of those around them for generations. This has taken my own story in several interesting directions, and I’m looking forward to even more twists in the story as time goes forward. If you really want to get to know me, spend some time with my family! I’ve been married to Angela for 26 years now and we have two amazing boys, Taylor (19) and Austin (16). I truly am blessed to spend my life with these three people. When I’m not doing work or family stuff I love to spend time on the golf course, traveling, or just reading a good book. I love being outdoors whether that’s participating in sports or just exploring new territory. [Read More]

Bio:
I envision counseling as a collaborative process. My approach involves facilitating a supportive client/counselor relationship to improve my client’s ability to cope with and address negative patterns of behavior and thought, enrich their relationship with self and others, and enhance overall well-being. I have been a practicing therapist for eight years in Tulsa, Oklahoma. My career experiences include working in schools with children, adolescents, and their families; working with adults to address life/work balance; supporting clients with depression, anxiety, and trauma histories; and most recently counseling teen parents. Every day I enter my sessions with the intention to help my clients get in touch with their inner resources in order to feel more in control of their emotions, with a greater sense of peace and well-being. I can attest to the benefits that counseling and mindfulness can bring during difficult times. I discovered mindfulness practices including meditation while pursuing my Ph.D., and reconnected with these practices while facing the challenges of raising two small boys on my own. Through the ups and downs of parenting and the struggle of maintaining a balance between work and home life, it has been my mindfulness practices that have kept me grounded. I believe that everyone could benefit from taking some time to focus on their own mental well-being and to just breathe a little more! [Read More]
